Boxil

A kind of so-called labouring fungus formerly used in the technological traditions of several worlds within the Vetani biozone. Though string entity contamination has not been verified in extant samples of Boxil DNA, certain codical interpretations include Boxil on the lists of the damned genera. B. holos holos, or “holoroom,” and B. vetaniis have especial reputations in some back-sectors for being inhabited by limpid devatic essences.

Possession of whole or partial fruiting bodies or mycelia is forbidden in the Orahalciades and in most systems where the mammoth boxilid fruiting bodies are known to drift. Bans on the use of labouring fungus tissues as materials in the construction of tesseract ships still exist in every system that hosts a demeteris authoritat.
